Vesak  is  a   religious   festival.Buddhists   celebratevesak.Vesak  is  in  may.It  is  a  colourful  festival. Children   make  beautiful   lanterns  on  this  day .Some   people  go  to  temple .Some  people  observe  sil.Some  chuldren  fly  kites. Lord  buddha  was  born  an  vesak   day.Lord  buddha  passed  away  on  vesak  day.Lord  bubdha  god  enlighten  ment on  this  day. 

I have flower garden. It is lovely. There are mane beautiful flowers in it. Roses, orcheds, shoe flowers,Carnations, jesmines and sun flowers are some of them.    

                         Every  day I  water  the   flower   plants .  some   birds  and butterflies come to suck honey from the flowers.I love my garden

Sri lanka is a country which can boast of a rich cultural heritage from time immemorial. In such a country the dynamic role that museums play in infusing vigour and life to the culture and history of land is very significant. Museums play a silent but a very dominant role to maintain the culture and civilisation of mankind.A national museum may bedefined as a central institution which imparts knowledge of the past to those living in the present. A national museum serves as a repository for the collection, exhibition and study of objects of artistic, scientific, historial and eduational value too. It eduates the people and stimulates their interest in their national heritage’ It also attracts the attention of growing young minds to the glorious riches of the past. presently only a very few have cultivated the habit of visiting museums. Therefore it is timely that mass media strive hard to focus the importance of national museums in the cultural life of the nation, Especially the younger generation should be made to understand the values of museums even though we are living in the computer age today.

 This  is  a  colourful  festival  celebvated  by  the  hindus.  They  light  oil lamps  in  their  houses  and  wear  new  clothes  for  this  festival.  This  featival  is in  the  month  of  april. It is an  important  festwal  of  the  sinhala  and  the  tamil  people.  They  maks  a lot  of  sweet  meats.  wear  new  clothes  and  visit  relatirs  at  this  festival.  This  is a very  special  festival  to  the  buddhists.  It  is  in  may.  people  decorate  their  houses  with  colourful  lanterns  and  paper  streamers  during   this   festival.

Everyone of us should have a hobby. Then only we can spend our leisure in a useful manner. My Hobby is gardening. It is an interesting hobby. It has many advantages. I have planted various kinds of fruits and vegetable in my garden. Some of the fruits are guave, pineapple, pomegranate, woodapple, orande and mango. Some of the vegetables are raddish, tomatoes, pumpkin, cucumber, brinijals, ladies fingers,drumsticks and wing beans. I spend about three hours in my garden every morning.I pull out weeds. I water and manure the vegetable beds. I use compost manure . I don’t use artificial manure. It is a nice sight to see fruit trees laden with fruits. Birds butterflies come to my garden. They make my gargen beautiful. My father, mother and brother too help me in my hobby. We can eat fresh fruits and vegetable because of my hobby. Also I can earn some money by selling them.11 one

kalaniya is a very beautful temple.it is very close to colombo city. it is situated by the  kalani river. the dagaba is very big and the paintings in the shrine are  very beautful .  buddhists and non buddhists visit kalaniya temple  daily.   the lord buddha first visited kalaniya to settle a disupute bet ween,  choolodara and mahodara.

Madduma bandara is the name of one of our national heroes. he is a child hero.he lived during the reign of sri wickrama rajasinghe. the last king of ceylon. his father was one of the king’s ministers. his name was ehelepola. ehelepola didn’t obey the king’s orders. he fled away and hid in a remote place. the king was very angry.he ordered that ehelepola’s family be killed. they were brought to bogambara by the king’s men. it was madduma bandara’s elder brother who had to face death first. but dared not to come forward. thus the name of madduma bandaraq was written in our history.

We hawe often seen the brothers and sisters in the same household quarrelling with each other. thus,.through hatred nations who live under the shelter of the same sky too, clach . sometimes the objective of excelling one another makes persons and nations insane. this makes them neglect their human qualities and moral values . their friendly attitude vanish and they become enemies . war means destruction the one who wages war upon another makes way to the destruction not only of his opponent but also of himself. if war means such distruction what is the purpose of getting involved in such a disastrous activity? this is a question that every human being should reflect in his own soul

Garbage  disposal  has  become  a  huge  problem  for  urban  dwellers  as well  as  for  urban    authorities .  our  homes  ,hotels  ,  restaurants,  markes,  offices,  factories etc.    then  protests come    from  the  people  who  live  ground.  no  one  likes  to live  next  door  to a  garbage  dump  .   the  authorities  hawe to  find  new  sites.  they  tear  the  bags  and  scatter  the  rubbish  on  the  koads.  the  once beautful enviroment  becomes  an eyesore.
